Eco Christmas Tip 3 – Wrapping Paper

Did you know that over 8,000 tonnes of wrapping paper is used in Britain over Christmas, that’s over 83km squared of rubbish. Enough to cover Burnley over 5 times!

So how can this amount be reduced?

One idea from FabArtDIY is to wrap your presents in scarfs, check these out here.

Another way is to wrap your presents in newspaper and magazines you have saved for recycling. Get creative, the more colourful, the better! And make sure with any presents you receive this year, you put the wrapping paper in the recycling bin. If you are really careful unwrapping them, you could even re-use the paper for another gift in the future.
