Furniture for Education Worldwide (FEW) is a National Charity and was launched in London at the House of Commons in November 2008. The Charity’s aim is to send all the surplus and redundant furniture from school and office renovations here in the UK to some of the world's poorest schools.

Bury Grammar Donation

Bury Grammar just recently donated their surplus furniture to FEW. If, like Bury Grammar, you're redoing classrooms and have surplus furniture, FEW will make good use of it by transporting furniture to help schools in deprived countries. We like this initiative as it not only helps to reduce landfill it also helps deprived schools.
Sukuta Lower Basic School Donation

We have helped with a recent container collection by donating 40 PCs and monitors. The collection took place at Glossopdale High School, Hadfield near Glossop and aimed to get as much surplus IT equiment and furniture together as possible for Sukuta Lower Basic School in The Gambia. They currently have 3,500 students with only about 15 outdated computers between them so our donation is going to be a huge help to the school. These were sent in June 2018.
Our charity is proud to partner with LCWS Recycling in the furtherance of our work with needy schools around the world. The working relationship we have with LCWS Recycling has allowed us to provide an important IT element, which is critical to improving the educational opportunities of thousands of children.
